This CD presents a selection from the immortal compositions of Rabindranath Tagore, the most creative poet and music composer on the Indian music scene in modern history. Tagore (1861-1941) who led the renaissance in Indian poetry was also a brilliant novelist and painter.

He wrote lyrics and composed music for over 2500 songs and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913.

The singer, Rajasree Mukherjee, a leading exponent of Rabindra Sangeet has lent her delightful and romantic voice to make this CD an unforgettable experience.
